Apparently there are some people who claim they like what I do. Personally, I think they find amusement in the whole affair. Trust me, my habits are an affliction. It is most difficult for me to sit down to relax, actually impossible, if there are hints of clutter, smells of disarray or visual disparities around me. So, if you find yourself reading this blog because you are a bit curious about my world and may secretly be feeling the way I do or better yet, because you just want to help fuel my family’s interest in my absurdities; either way, is fine by me. This blog is dedicated to all those who support my passion for organization, for comfort, for harmony and peace of mind.

My mother calls it the affliction: perfectly portioned pantries; specifically rolled towels; aesthetically (opposed to alphabetically) arranged bookshelves; basically everything in life you didn’t know you needed until crossing paths with a perfectionist like my mother. Being, and living with, a perfectionist can have its downsides. Example: the never ending debate on whether the unfolded blouse in the drawer can be left until morning, taking into account the loss of sleep such knowledge may create. Even though my mother’s “daily works” often astound and frustrate me, her affliction, infinite eccentricities and all, provides an unfailing wisdom on dealing with the chaos called life.
